Little Moments

The other day I was sitting down at the lake enjoying the view and the sun. I felt warm for the first time in weeks! As I sat soaking up the heat and watching the sun on the water, my thoughts turned to Mikael. No big surprise. I heard a small sound above me and when I looked up a little humming bird was perched in the branch directly overhead. It sat there for a while, preening itself, then spread out its tail feathers and flew away. Its little visit filled my heart. Hummingbirds are a special symbol for Mikael and Shelley and they both have a tattoo of one. I thought how cool it is that God uses his creation to bring us these special little moments of wonder.
