To Mothers

Since tomorrow is Mother’s Day, I thought I’d share a poem I wrote over a year ago.

To Mothers

My child

I need you to know that

I love you with my whole heart

Your heart is from my heart

I love you fiercely

With my entire being

Ready to protect you like a lion

I am your lighthouse

To guide you when you’re adrift

My love for you is infinite

Strong, forgiving, stable.

Nothing you do can change

My everlasting love.

I am sure of you

When you are unsure of yourself

I see you

With my heart

With my soul

With my everything.
